Getting to Toulouse Blagnac Airport

Toulouse Airport is situated approximately west northwest of Toulouse, and also nearby Blagnac. Due to its position, the airport is also commonly referred to as Toulouse Blagnac Airport, or Aéroport de Toulouse-Blagnac in French. In the south of France, the airport is found in the Midi-Pyrénées region, and Toulouse and Blagnac are communes of the Haute-Garonne département. Toulouse Airport is also nearby Bordeaux, Montauban and Montpellier. Over six million passengers pass through this airport each year, and this number of passengers is only expected to increase in the years to come. The terminal building of the airport is well equipped for the arrival and departure of its passengers. Motorists will find Toulouse Airport relatively easy to reach, as it is well connected to major roads and motorways in the area.

Toulouse Airport has the official IATA code of TLS, and its ICAO code is listed as LFBO. The airport’s address can be noted as BP 90103, 31703 Blagnac Cédex, France, and motorists with a satellite navigation system in their vehicles can use the coordinates of 43°38′06″N 001°22′04″E to help them find the airport’s exact location. Driving in Toulouse and its surrounding areas is found to be quite easy, and since the airport is situated so nearby the city, driving to the airport will only take approximately twenty minutes, if not shorter. Driving time can depend on traffic conditions, as the roads are generally busier during rush hour traffic times.

Motorists should therefore ensure that they leave in good time for the airport, and have sufficient time to find suitable parking, and complete the check-in and security processes before their departure flight is scheduled. It is recommended to arrive at least an hour before a domestic flight, and at least two hours before an international flight. Passengers may also use online check-in services for certain airline companies, which could speed up the process of reaching the departure lounge. There are plenty of parking options at Toulouse Airport, which include short-term and long-term parking facilities, and some parking spaces that are under cover. Passengers arriving in a rented car should ensure there is sufficient time to return the vehicle, and complete any necessary vehicle checks before heading to the departure area.
